Chief Master Sergeant Thomas N. Vallely is the Command Chief Master Sergeant, 451st Air Expeditionary Wing, Kandahar Air Field, Afghanistan.

In this capacity, he serves as the principle senior enlisted advisor to the Wing Commander on the morale, welfare, discipline, fitness and effective utilization of the wing's enlisted personnel assigned to four groups, 18 squadrons and five forward operating locations. Chief Vallely ensures the combat readiness of the wing through sound enlisted policies and practices.

As Command Chief, he maintains a liaison between the Wing Commander and those that execute the mission, primarily focusing on the enlisted force and their families. He advises the commander and senior leadership on mission effectiveness, professional development, military readiness, training, utilization, health, morale and welfare of the command's personnel and takes action to address shortfalls or challenges.

Chief Vallely was raised in Gloster, Mississippi and graduated from Pine Hills Academy in 1985. He enlisted in the Air Force in 1986. He has extensive background and expertise in air traffic control operations, while serving in numerous leadership positions and deployments.
